Where I Stand

The challenges facing our district are complex, but the priorities are clear. I believe in thoughtful, practical solutions that strengthen families, protect our neighborhoods, and build long-term opportunity.

Working for our Community

Safe Neighborhoods

Public safety is the foundation of a strong community.  Families deserve to feel secure in their homes and confident in their neighborhoods.

With years of experience in criminal justice and legislative policy work, I understand how laws are written and how they work in practice.  We must continue to support law enforcement, address repeat offenses responsibly, and ensure that policies are carefully crafted to protect both safety and fairness.

Addressing Homelessness and Mental Health

Homelessness, substance abuse, and untreated mental health challenges affect every part of our community.  These issues require coordination, compassion, and innovative policies.

We need practical solutions that balance accountability with meaningful services and treatment.  Long-term progress depends on open lines of communication and collaboration between government agencies, service providers, and community partners.

Affordability and Opportunity

Too many families worry about whether our children will be able to build a future here in Hawai‘i.  Housing costs, rising expenses, and limited opportunities make it difficult for the next generation to stay.

We must pursue policies that strengthen our economy, support working families, and create pathways for quality education, workforce development, stability and growth.  The goal is simple: a Hawai‘i where families can thrive and where our children can choose to stay and succeed.
